XX Chromosome

In the past couple of days everyone have been asking me what is this XX Chromosome thing I've been working for. Well, I must tell you, I have never crossed on something as this. It's a team of people I've been given a chance to work with and they are creating professional modeling books and they're aiming big, huge. I was their photographer of course. We have been shooting for three days for eight or nine hours and it was wonderful. You will see a preview of the work we've done on their site and Facebook page. The model I shot is called Marija Mandić, and she is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever photographed and I will continue to do so throughout the year.
The designer for the book is Sanja Šajatović Čežek, and she is absolutely brilliant, I must say.
The book is now in post-production and will be published in December, or January if everything turns out right.
I shot with my Yashica and spent 12 rolls of film. The photographs came out perfect.
I can't wait to see the book design!! :)

Ponovo se našao sa Lunom. Usudio bih se da kažem da mi je ona jedini uzor od studenata na Akademiji umetnosti ovde u Novom Sadu. Zrači nekom energijom koju valjda tek sada počinjem da naslućujem. Ne mogu tačno uperiti prst u to, ali je vrlo živo i inspiriše. Izvlači uvek neke nove stvari iz mene.
Ovo bi bio omaž njenom radu.

I miss the autumn so much.
I'm going to need to dedicate more of my time to my fashion portraits. I'm sensing that I'm falling to deep into my personal work, so I need to balance it out a little bit.

Atonement

Here, in the eleventh hour I decided to turn everything in black and white. I didn't see this clearly in the beginning and I'm grateful that eventually did, even though I posted a color version. This sums up my whole summer. The feelings, the sadness, the pain.

Untitled women

The title of my life project perhaps. I was thinking about this for a very long time and I finally grabbed my camera.
I started this project this summer I think with my family, the women in the family, but hopefully I will move on the others. I want to hear their stories through these portraits. I consider it sometimes a secret only the two of us know of.
